The FET is one of the original human affiliations created when the game began. They are charted affiliates of the Imperials and are one of the most colorful affiliations to play.

The FET origins are rarely spoken of. They are believed to have been a cartel of traders, warriors, explores who worked on the edge of Imperial law. They first formed to consolidate there earnings and work to achieve common goals within the empire. It was not long before they became a powerful organization When the colony Detinus rebelled they saw there opportunity to increase there power. The rebellion had lead to a chain reaction within the outer colonies. The Empire was new and was not strong enough to keep order, they were on the brink of collapse when the FET offered there services. As the emperor had nothing to lose he agreed to make them a Mega corporation backed by the empire. The FET began by reliving Imperial troops on hostile worlds by bringing vital aid through the blockades. This brought fresh hope to the battered Imperial fighters trying to maintain control. Soon FET ships and ground forces were operating with there Imperial counterpart and caused a chain of victories. The resistance crumbled as the prowess of the FET became known. Although at the time there numbers were small the difference they made in combat was amazing. From now on where the empire went the FET was there guarding its back and making a profit. The FET only allowed the best to join, it was the elite of the elite, however only a love of danger and the wish to make a quick buck was required once you were in. The FET was more then a affiliation it was a attitude a way of life. Unlike other affiliations they were clearly different and unpredictable, this made them stronger and more valuable to the empire.

When the outer systems were discovered the FET were quick to establish in Capella. Initially avoiding confrontation with the DTR they forced a war with the SSL there nearest competitors in the drug market and forced them to leave and remain in the inner empire. Then as the Flagritz appeared they helped defend the empire and halt the DTR plans for the wiping out of the empire in this part of space.

Since then the FET have expanded rapidly. There colonies are found through out Imperial space keeping the presence of the empire alive and its citizens under control. There members have turned to trade and exploration and have traveled practically all over the galaxy. Their warships are not to be messed with and fought countless times side by side with the Imperial navy. From hunting down pirates to halting invasions of the empires space the FET are never one to miss out on a fight. They have fought at the alien artifact, captured the Pirate colony Barbary coast, helped stop 2 Flagritz invasions and kept the Confederate rolling thunder fleet at bay.

The FET success is also due to there independent mentality. The FET of today is made up of dozens of companies. There are the core companies each interested in a specific area, colonization, combat and exploration and then there is smaller groups which operate on there own, occasionally aiding for the good of the empire but free of any ties and responsibilities. The FET are probably one of the most well established and interesting affiliations to play due to there independent nature. playing them offers endless opportunities.

FET Abilities:-

1) The FET can cloak ships for 6 TU's per turn without using Korondite.

2) The FET gain a bonus when using Filed labs on Morale boosting items. There Field labs produce 50% of what a colony special complex would produce unlike the normal 10% experienced for other items.

3) The FET Operate the Deep Explorer 10/28/19 B.S. 1.0 It has built in Bio and Physics lab. The FET can run one free special action for exploration purposes per turn (worth 20tu's!).

4) The FET operate the Pioneer 15/67/31 B.S. 1.3 It has 200 Jammers built in and each life support fitted will sustain 20 lifeforms. It can only use space fighters in combat.
